Yeah, ok, I put this together & posted it in a hurry. I did kind of screw up translating my name, in hindsight. I threw it together with Google Translate.

(火馬年 is just "Year of the Fire Horse," that's normal.)

樹莓毛毛雨 is an attempt to translate "raspberry (fruit) (+) drizzling rain". My name can be interpreted as Νιάουρο ("red raspberry") & Ψακάς (ancient word for "raindrop" or "spitting rain")--hence my handle on Dreamwidth.
樹莓 ≈ raspberries? "shù méi" in Pinyin?
毛毛雨 = drizzling rain? "máomaoyǔ" in Pinyin?

But! The personal name goes second in Chinese, which I forgot (I was sleepy.) So it might make more sense to make it 毛毛雨樹莓, or "máomaoyǔ shù méi". Which puts the "meow" sound in my name back at the beginning!

And of course it would sound very different in less degenerate dialects like Cantonese

Oh, and Chinese surnames are typically one syllable.
And I think 雨 (Yǔ) is a traditional one? No? Maybe not.
Oh. Of course 毛 (Máo)--which by itself means "hair"--is a surname, but I don't know that I want to use his name.
