Winter, silver, azure

I’m not completely happy with the reflections, but I also haven’t posted in days. This was inspired by a recent Stefania Ferrario photo, although it’s really not the same setup.

Surreal Nia in low-ceilinged mirror room
Jan. 20th, 2018 09:30 pm
I shot this before noon, but waited to post it. It was really a test render, and I thought I might shoot a bigger render.
But the surreal special effect on cartoon Nia’s skin isn’t working out that well. I mostly just look oddly bruised. I think I may give up on this approach, or start over. So I’m just posting this as it is, rather than reshooting it.
It’s been a while since I posted art, so just use it.
Shifter, dancer, tipper-over?

This shot was in shadow and I decided not to use it two days ago for composition reasons. Today I brightened it up in Photoshop. The room looks a bit greener now due to tweaking levels for contrast.

In the eye of a flexy tomato
Nov. 11th, 2017 12:29 pmSo, a couple of days ago, I posted this thing: Like a flexy tomato (I dare say a slightly inferior version of one of today's images, although I do like it.)
I had completely forgot to check if Creedence's hair was casting shadows. So today you get a new version, now framed with more visible reflections, because I like reflections.

Those are Teresa's ankles reflected way up in the corner. And here's more of her:

My paper-thin backgrounds, let me show you them! e_e

‘Am I really not going to produce a render today?’
…
'Oh, just do something quick.’
…
'OK, this is quick and silly. I think she should have more of a floor to stand on, though.’
…
'To bring in Teresa for the viewpoint? Walls? Lights? That was not so quick.’
…
'You can’t even see the background stuff I was worried about?!’

The fabulous Ms Rockford in pink

Rendering this a little bigger today. Sometimes I feel silly posting art at 836*612. Those were my comic strip dimensions. If I’m not doing comics, I don’t need to hold to that.
I planned to put LaFaonne in some more practical autumn clothing today, but I like this silly outfit.

Oh yeah; redoing materials & lights, and reshooting, until I’m happy with a shot! I’d forgotten about that.
I expect some people will imagine this is a lead-in to something sexy. It’s actually meant to be Vicki examining a new character design of mine for critique.
Amusingly: On my hard drive, this is saved in a folder of pictures of myself. Well, technically it is a picture of me, in a sense.
