I just found out that the 3D designer known as Studio Art Vartanian died about a month ago. I only had a few of her pieces in my runtime, but there were several more I hoped I would buy “someday.”

I was going to render a scene showing various figures of hers I have. I got as far as cartoon Nia and Vicki 4 in swimsuits and decided just to make that today’s render. The rest of the figures in this scene are by other artists.

The swimsuit design both figures are wearing in this shot was released as freeware. It’s superconforming and the Victoria 4 version even has a “Inhale” morph that works very well both inhaling and exhaling, which I discovered while working on this shot. That’s much more than many commercial clothing figures have, & seriously impressive to me.

SAV sold hair models, clothes, and characters for DAZ figures. I have a Michael 4 character of hers for which she also packaged custom morphs to make his clothes fit better! She was a conscientious professional.

She was also younger than I. I’m starting to fear that full-time computer art shortens lives.
