Sunlight shadow meme Spring 2026

This hand shadows meme was going around Bluesky among the artists who draw, and, well, shadows are kind of a thing that I do. So I decided I would figure out how to model it.
And no, ambient daylight does not work this way. Technically, these shots should be set in the dark. But I did these two in what is meant to look like sunlight. Leaning into the surrealness of the meme.
Also. I really thought I had lost the character designs for both Nylissa and Fraise! But no, I had early versions of them. :-)

Apparently this meme has been going around Twitter. I got it from alzuna on Tumblr.
I tried a hat, it looked worse than the earrings. I should have just given her a huge shaggy hairstyle and said I live in Africa or at the bottom of the sea or something.
I don’t think I have a favourite emoji. But a blue heart reminded me of The Blue Hearts, so I went with that.
I’m calling her Stacy. Stacy Kipp.
