This is up late, & I thought maybe this scene wasn't ready yet. But I like trying to more or less post on a schedule, so this is my Monday post.
June 11: I finally edited and posted a version I shot without the dress: Alarming the angel boy (nude, + sfw crop)
Return of the blue L.R.E.

I noticed today that reimagining Ellery as a lamia is a weird case of me creating, or synthesising, things that would be meaningful to someone else in a way—but then me not playing them that way.
Ellery can come off as a non-binary character, & she's a little gender-nonconforming, but I basically write her as a cishet woman. (Meanwhile, my lesbian characters are overwhelmingly femme. e_e)
On the other hand, I have seen the lamia used as a symbol of trans femininity. Which I think I get? I'm more into the idea of a snake woman as a mystic, quasi-prophetic figure—or just someone alien.
Anyway, with the blue lamia, I'm thinking, "Monster girl! Make her glow blue!"
This weekend I tried re-editing my angel shots from last week so the halos would both cast shadows and illuminate the area around them.
